Oleg, Masha, little Ramazan, and their mothers Sasha, Oxana, and Asya, arrived at JFK International Airport last night. Russian Gift of Life volunteer Alex Kwartiroff met the three families at the airport. Special thanks to Ronald McDonald House of Long Island for the use of their van.
The mothers and children were exhausted from the ten hour flight and seven hour time difference, but have settled in comfortably at Ronald McDonald House. Gift of Life Board member Aimee Aiosa greeted the family with presents for all the kids as they checked into their home away from home.
Grateful and excited to be in New York, the three mothers feel worried about their children's upcoming medical treatment. They will be very happy once it is all over. Their first appointments at Saint Francis Hospital are on Friday.
