After a restless night, as the morning light begins to break through the clouds, the day two mothers from Russia have been anticipating has arrived. They must wake their two young daughters for the trip to the hospital for their long awaited heart surgery. The girls, ages four and five, do not want to get up so early. “Can’t we sleep, Mom, and go later,” they ask. Both mothers quietly insist that the girls have to get up. Stretching and yawning, wiping the sleep from their eyes, the two little girls get out of bed and get dressed.
