Danil Goes for MRI

 | Published on 3/21/2011
An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a technique that produces images of the heart and other body structures by measuring the response of certain elements (such as hydrogen) in the body to a magnetic field. Little Danil today had to stay still inside a huge tunnel (the MRI machine). The machine made loud noise throughout the sixty minute procedure. Danil wore headphones, while his mother Lena, and an RGOL  volunteer also named Lena, interpreted and encouraged him. Dr. Levchuck will use the images of Danil's heart to make a final evaluation of his condition prior to surgery.
